Meet Karley
Karley is Skin Society Wax & Spa's Founder + Lead Aesthetician.
With 12 years of experience in the waxing and skincare industry, Karley has made Brazilian Waxing her speciality and top service at Skin Society Wax & Spa. Graduating with 1200 hours of skincare education at Bellus Academy in San Diego, CA, Karley has taken her extensive knowledge in skincare and combined it with her expertise in waxing, making Skin Society Wax & Spa the premier spot for clients to achieve not only their hair removal goals, but skincare goals in the places they are waxing.

Karley has been married to her husband, Alex for 6 years, and is a mom to a little boy and little girl. She also has two dogs, who are named after superheroes.

WE USE
HARD WAX
Hard wax is a type of wax used mainly for hair removal. It is thicker than soft wax and becomes firm as it cools, which allows it to grip hair without sticking to the skin. When applied to the skin, it hardens as it cools down, and then it can be peeled off quickly, taking the hair with it. Unlike soft wax, which needs strips to remove, hard wax can be removed directly by hand, making it a gentler option for sensitive areas like the bikini line or face.
At Skin Society Wax & Spa, we understand that sometimes life gets in the way. In order to keep and maintain our optimal flow of appointments, and respect the time of all clients and Estheticians, the policies listed below have been put into effect.

LATE: If you are running behind, please notify us through text that you are running late to your scheduled appointment. If you are running more than 7 minutes late, Skin Society Wax & Spa will unfortunately be unable to accommodate some, if not all services scheduled due to the surrounding appointments on the schedule. You will be asked to reschedule your appointment, and at that time cancellation fees will apply

CANCELLATION/RESCHEDULE: We kindly ask that you cancel or reschedule your appointment no less than 24 hours in advance. This includes additional services you were scheduled for, and no longer plan on receiving. Cancellation less than 24 hours in advance to the start of your appointment time will result in a late cancellation fee of 50% of the service total before rescheduling.

NO SHOW: Failure to be at your scheduled appointment without prior communication to Skin Society Wax & Spa will result in a fee of 100% of the service total. Fees must be collected to reschedule and appointments will not be accepted until all monies owed to Skin Society Wax & Spa are paid in full.

CONFIRMATION: All appointments must be confirmed either through the text/email from Vagaro or by text to Skin Society Wax & Spa within 24 hours of the start of your appointment time.. Failure to confirm your appointment will result in cancellation of the appointment and you will need to reschedule

Reasons for Cancelling/Rescheduling and How Avoid a Late Fee
Sick: We understand that in today's world, especially as we continue to navigate through a world with Covid-19, we ask that you still cancel your appointments within 24 hours of the start time of your appointment. Be proactive. If you feel even slightly off or unwell, it is safer to cancel and reschdule when you are 100% confident you are not sick. Also, for the well being of myself, my family, and my other clients, please do not come in sick or if you have tested positive for COVID-19. If you have tested positve for COVID-19, please wait 10 days, or until you have a negative test to reschedule your appoinment
Period: Getting waxed on your period is completely safe, and does not bother us when you come in while on your period. We wax many woman everyday on their cycle and it does not affect the effectiveness of your wax. Getting your period is not a reason to cancel less than 24 hours in advance, as you are physcially able to get waxed, as long as you have a clean tampon in or a menstrual cup. If you do not feel comfortable coming in on your period, please plan your waxing around your cycle, or cancel within 24 hours of the start of your appointment to avoid a late cancel fee.
